Culture Tranditional

There are many taboo for Chinese, especially during the Chinese New Year. In Taiwan, people don’t throw out trash during the Chinese New Year. Because we believe if we throw out trash as like we throw out wealth and we are sweeping dust that means sweeping luck and wealth of next year. As a result, we will clean house overall on New Year’s Eve. During the New Year, we package trash and put it on the corner of the house until the New Year passed.

Next, I want to introduce a traditional cloth. The cloth names Due Dou. In ancient, women wear it inside but now it has another meaning. It represents wealth and benediction. In Taiwan, when a girl will get married, Mother will prepare a Due Dou for the bride. Then, the bride will wear it inside of wedding dress to finish her wedding ceremony. There is a packet in front of the Due Dou. Mother will put a red envelope and put money inside of the red envelope. This action means the bride will bring a lot of wealth to her new family and mother wish her daughter has happiness in her future.

上面畫底線的地方,表示你的用法或文法寫的不順或者是有錯誤。
另外,有些句子,我覺得不是很順,我就直接重寫了,並沒有標出來。

Here is my try:

There have been many traditional taboos for the Chinese, especially during the Chinese New Year. In Taiwan, people don't take out the trash during the New Year period. We believe that it means we take out wealth if we take out the trash. We also believe that we are sweeping the luck and wealth in the next year if we are sweeping dust during the period. As a result, we clean our houses thoroughly on New Year's Eve. We then pack the trash and put it on the corners of the houses until the New Year has passed.

Next, I want to introduce a traditional cloth called a Due Dou, which a woman used to wear inside in ancient times. Nowadays it has another meaning; it represents wishes for wealth and blessing for brides. In Taiwan, when a girl gets married, her mother will prepare a Due Dou for the bride. Then, she will wear it inside of the wedding dress to finish her wedding ceremony. There is a pocket on the front of the Due Dou. The mother will put a red envelope with money into the pocket. This act means the bride will bring a lot of wealth to her new family. And it also means the mother's wishes for her daughter's happiness in the future.

*I guess you'll be fined if you really throw the trash out.
To mean "倒垃圾", we say " take out the trash."

*"a pocket in front of the Due Dou" means that the pocket is located before the Due Dou, and it does not belong to the Due Dou.

另外,別光只注意文法,善加利用on-line字典的 thesaurus,多利用synonyms或同義的phrases, 可以美化你的作文:

throw: discard, toss away
trash: garbage, waste
sweep: expel, brush away
Chinese new year: lunar new year, the beginning of a year, the first days of a year

In Taiwan, people don’t throw out trash during the Chinese New Year. Because we believe if we throw out trash as like we throw out wealth and we are sweeping dust that means sweeping luck and wealth of next year.

-> In Taiwan, people do not throw out trash during the Chinese new year, because they believe discarding the waste in the beginning of a year is like tossing away the wealth to be obtained in this year, and sweeping the floor means expelling the fortune.
