snatch customers (away) from

(從市場上)搶客戶

Copied and pasted from dictionary.

grab grabs grabbing grabbed
If you grab someone who is walking past, you succeed in getting their attention. (INFORMAL)
Grab that waiter, Mary Ann.
VB

Other than this, I didn't see another possible usage in terms of "grab someone" in my dictionary. I must say it sounds very chinese english and is rarely heard of.

Let's look at the correct ways to use the term "snatch", again this is what I found in the dictionary.

snatch
1. snatch snatches snatching snatched
If you snatch something or snatch at something, you take it or pull it away quickly.
Mick snatched the cards from Archie's hand.
He snatched up the telephone.
The thin wind snatched at her skirt.
VB

2. snatch snatches snatching snatched
If something is snatched from you, it is stolen, usually using force. If a person is snatched, they are taken away by force.
If your bag is snatched, let it go.
Mr Hillman was snatched by kidnappers last Thursday.
VB: usu passive

So I think both terms are inaccurate here. Instead of translating it directly into English, perhaps it is better to rewrite the sentence in English that represents the same meaning. This way you can avoid the problem of Chinese-English. If you really want to use snatch here, I wouldn't say "My competitor snatched my clients", I would rather say "the deal is snatched or the opportunity to work for XXX client was snatched"

Win is another word that can be considered here. You can say "He won the deal or he won the chance to do business with XXX client."

Happy learning!

引文:
grab customers
I think next year the retail wars will start to grab customers.
He condemned companies such as Altavista for launching services to grab customers rather than working out how they would provide a decent service.

We must grab[sic] more customers!”

"....they may be concerned that you will use their materials or steal their students."

"Our employer has told us directly that they don't mind if we take private students so long as we don't poach from their clients...."

我也學到"poach from"
Longman Online
poach
3. PEOPLE [transitive] to persuade someone who belongs to another organization, team etc to leave it and join yours, especially in a secret or dishonest way:

Ex. That company's always poaching our staff.

poach from:
Ex. Several of their reporters were poached from other papers.
