I already 27, but I only made boyfriend once when I studied in the university.
After graduating, I’v never made any boyfriends…you ask my why??
Cause I never meet right person in the right time, and I guess the main reasons have two... one reason is, I don’t have chances, my job is CSR (customer service representative), most of coworkers around me are women, just fews are men. But you know, they look so so , nothing attract me…

And another reason is, I live far away from office, I commute from Taoyuan to Taipei everyday. I need to spend 2 hours on the transportation. So when I end up my job, I always hurry to catch the train. That's why I don’t have any social activities, and no opportunity to meet good men..

I think my life is white and black, very monotonous, I fed up with this life, and decide to change. I always envy couples when the special days are coming, ( like Valentine’s Day, Christmas’ Day). the couples look so lovely, but I only myself, that’ll let me want to cry....

I think it’s time to make a boyfriend, I'll try to go out, join all kinds of activites, to find the right person has the same interests with me. I hope my man is humorous, easygoing, responsible and have a good job. Meanwhile, he need to kindness and really love me. I think face-look isn't so important, cause face will be change pass by time....

Please give me the best wishes, and if you have friends still single and have above mentioned good qualities, you can also introduce them to me, tks first...

Even though I’m not very beauty, but I think I'm still a charming girl…
Why did I say that?? Cause everyone said l look so dark recently, they asked did I exercise much? My coworkers, my relatives, my friends, even the doctor said I look darker than before…My uncle laugh at me, he said I even look darker than my brother, if I got darkest, I wouldn't made any boyfriends…
Ok ok , I heard everybody’s words, but did you want to know why I become so dark??

Cause I walk from 松山車站 to 內湖 office every morning, and continue about 2 years. I think that’s a good way to keep exercise during work period, and I also can save bus fee… my coworkers they hardly ever exercise, so they’re getting fat, I don’t want to like them, become fatness…
But walking in the morning is always sweating, the sun is burning hot…

I used to walk without taking umbrella, and I always laught at girls who taking umbrella. In my memory, only grandma will take umbrella when they go out…..And I love outdoor activites, I like go to watering amusement park, like 八仙,I enjoy the watering equipment and really have fun…It’s hurt your skin when you expose under the sun in the noon, but at that moment, I didn’t think too much...

Now my skin tone looks like chocolate, I fed up with everyone said I black, from right now, I talk umbrella when I walk to office, and use white-skin produces, even when i join outdoor activites, I’ll choose the afternoon time, i don't want the UV light to injury my skin again. No sun, no hurt…

If you guys have any good advices to let my skin looks lighter, pls feel free to tell me, tks a lot

Hi, glot. I decided to touch your heart instead of ccaring you. Because I think it won’t be easy! Here’s my new essay. Let’s see if I can touch your heart or not.

My Hometown

I lived in a very beautiful little town named Tain Wei in Chunghwa. It has a nicked name, “Highway Garden.” Taian Wei may sounds not so familiar to you but from the nicked name, I think it won’t be difficult for you to know where I lived. Yes, I lived in a place where people grew a lot of beautiful flowers and trees. Though it’s a little town, it’s one of the popular sightseeing spot in Taiwan now.

There are many stylish tea houses and dreamy garden in Tai Wei. But I want to introuduce one of my favorite place here. It’s the road in front of my father’s flower shop “Min-Sheng Road.” Min-Sheng Road is a long straight road with pretty special designed street lamp on both of its side. But I think the name Min-Shen is not suitable for its unforgetable sunset, I gave it a nicked name “ The Road of Nile.” Every afternoon, my mom , sister and I are used to take a walk down this road, and the most wonderful and exciting thing for us is to see the big beautuful sun goes down at the end of the road. The gentle breeze bings us the fragrance of the flowers from gardens . The golden sunshine made our hair shimmer. We felt just like Cleopatra walking along the Nile in Egypt!

You may wonder what we can do at night in such a small town. Besides sitting , chatting and drinking flower tea at the stylish tea houses. We can also go the the field to see the “Light Bulb Sea.” What is the Light Bulb Sea? It’s another special scenery in Tai Wei. To control the growth of chrysanthemums, the farmer used the light bulb to make them grew quickly. At night, they light all the bulbs and that’s what we called “Light Bulb Sea.”

Wanna know more about the traditional house we lived in Tai Wei? That will be another story!

I'm Now An English Assisstant Teacher in A Cram School For Junior High School Students.

I Had Never Known that I Am Such A Person Who Am Afraid of Living in Such A Stable and Predictable Life & A Person Who Can Spend So Much Time On Working and Still Being All Right.

Before, I Only Wish Everyday is Another Smoothy Day. Now, Though I Don't Want to Have An Exciting and Nervous Day, I Do Wish Not to Repeat My Life Every Week Again and Again.

Valentine’s Day in Rose House

Yesterday was Valentines’sDay. My sister, the lucky girl, went to Japan to celebrate it. “ Can you believe it? I am drinking coffee in Tokyo! And I am going to Disneyland tomorrow!” she said. While I was tracked by work in Taiwan. Yes, I envied her. You will never know how much I wish to be an elementary school teacher now!

When I was thinking to do something else instead of watching TV all day, my sister in law called me. “Happy Valentine’s Day! Any plan today?” she said happily. “Not really! Any good idea? “ I replied. “ I’ll meet you ten minutes later. Dress up! Let’s go the Rose House together.”

I put on my new dress, but I didn’t expect to have much fun there.( I want to go to Japan and drink coffee with 木村拓哉 ! )But later I proved that I am wrong. When I came into the Rose House, the soft Jazz washed away my bad mood. It’s just like the music from heaven! The air which filled of rose’s fragrance made me feel like a real princess! We chated and had the wonderful tea with delicious handmade cookies there. I do relax and have a lot of fun . I think I’ll take my sister to the place again when she’s back from Japan. I can’t wait to be a princess again! Ha~~

I attended an English workshop in July. It was an interesting class where we were forbidden to speak Chinese for two days. Our class topic was “Beyond the Reason” and the teacher wanted each of us to tell a strange experience in our lives. It reminded me of a weird experience.

It was a weird but absolutely true experience in my life. When I was a senior high school student, I lived in the school dormitory. At first, my life was normal just like everyone else, but one day something happened.

At midnight when I fell asleep, I felt “someone”(the ghost) pressed me! I was so scared that I opened my mouth to scream but I couldn’t let out my voice at all! I struggled to wake up and then sensed that I got along with “him” for a long time before “he” disappeared.

From then on, the “thing” surely disturbed me when I slept alone no matter where I was. I tried all possible means throughout a long time to get ride of it but failed. Thus I was forced to share bed with someone (my sister, mom or my roommate) so I could avoid “his” botherings and sleep better. The weird situation lasted almost 8 years! It also meant I had tackled with “him” for a long while.

When I got married , he disappeared! The strange experience never came up any longer even when I slept alone! Someone said maybe my husband had strong “yang-chi” because he graduated from the police university. Another one said maybe “he” was my boyfriend in my previous life, which explained why he just left after I got married.

Frankly speaking, it was the most unforgettable experience in my life though I hope “he” would never appear in my life again.

ps:when I post the article at the first time, the context all disappear !so I need to post it at the second time, so weird, right?

Hello all,

To begin, I want to first apologize for this long email. I just want to touch base with all of you and bring everyone into one email chain.

Most of you already know that I have just been through one of the biggest events of my life, the birth of my second baby, and bringing my family back to the States from Taiwan. That is the reason why you have not seen me on English.com.tw as frequently as before.

Now with everything settling down, and my gaining some free time, I want to write you this email and say thank you! Your efforts and support are what kept English.com.tw growing and allowed me to spend more time with my family: Ellen and I want to say thank you!

I know all of you enjoy spending your spare time on English.com.tw, helping out others and asking for nothing in return. However, I still want to do something for you. The least I can do is to recognize you on English.com.tw where you spend your valuable time helping others. So, in the next few weeks I will update the “About Us“ page (http://english.com.tw/modules/about/index.php), and I am asking you to send me one or two paragraphs of your personal biography in Chinese to be put on the “About Us” page. Include details that you wish others to know about you. And if you are interested in managing the English.com.tw beyond what you already do, I will be more than glad to open English.com.tw up to you in other respects, such as newsletter operation, etc and I will provide more detail on this in my next email.

With all that said, I want to share with you what you have helped to accomplish in the past few months, what’s new in terms of English.com.tw and the Taiwanese media, what new features are being planned for English.com.tw, and where English.com.tw is headed.

First, accomplishments: At this point, with no cash flow (or negative cash flow); our accomplishments can only be measured by our daily traffic, member base, and our popularity. In terms of traffic, our daily average IP traffic is now about 1,900 (1,900 unique machines/IP used to connect to English.com.tw every 24 hours period), and our member base is growing by an average of 30 new members per day, which doubles what we had a quarter ago! If this growth stays on a linear path, we will see our 10,000th member by the end of the third quarter of 2005! For a startup website, this is pretty impressive. I did some SEOs (Search Engine Optimizations), which helped us to be listed on top of some well known search engines, therefore if you search on Google or Yahoo with some English related keywords (in Chinese), you can’t avoid stumbling into English.com.tw! I drove in the users, and you helped to keep them here. Together, we are creating THE Taiwan English portal. We have no competitors that come close to matching us.

As to our relationship with the media, I was interviewed by some of the well known Taiwanese magazines while I was there last month and one of which, 講義 (http://magazines.sina.com.tw/betterlife/contents/20050705/index.html) has already decided to publish its article about me in their July or August issue. During the interview with 講義, I mentioned English.com.tw repeatedly in hope that they would write more about English.com.tw. Also during these interviews, I met quite a few reporters and am trying to become good friends with them. They agreed to pass on our information to their reporter friends and see if they can help us generate more publicity for English.com.tw.

New functionality: I still plan to add A/V (audio/visual) chat capabilities for English.com.tw, although I am just not sure about its timeline. Besides A/V chat, I have lined up the following services to be added: 1. English version of user interface on English.com.tw [Vic says: Very important, if you want to attract other native English speakers like myself], 2. Classified section, and 3. English.com.tw newsletter function. I plan to put in the English user interface capability and classified section before the third quarter of this year and, depending on resources (time and cash), A/V chat and the newsletter may go in before the end of this year. Please let me know what you think about this.

Last but not least, our vision. I was often asked during my interviews: How do I position English.com.tw and where is it headed? Here is what I said to them. English.com.tw is a p2p (peer to peer) dot com and a media company. The p2p definition here is different than p2p definition defined by Napster. By p2p, I mean peers helping peers. English.com.tw provides a platform on the Internet for people to interact with one another in the interest of improving their English! It’s just a forum, a BBS, a chat room and a group of nice people formed into an English online community. The concept is simple yet powerful. Our traffic is golden for English-related product/service providers to advertise to, and our member base has the highest density of targeted customers that they can’t afford to miss. The name, English.com.tw provides us with large advantage, and I do plan to leverage it and turn English.com.tw into the English portal website in Taiwan and an online media company. After all, how difficult is it to remember the name English.com.tw?

Once again, I hope you see what you have helped accomplish in the past few months, and I want you to know that I really appreciate your efforts. Once English.com.tw starts to have a positive cash flow, I will make sure that I thank you in a more meaningful way. Before that, just know that you are doing good deeds by helping others.

Once again, thank you!

- Dave

You can watch it flying, listen to it singing, and I think feeding it food is the most funny thing. Sometimes when you are eating, birds ask you for food by standing on your hands, your head, and even your food. Follow these tips when you are spending time with your pet bird. First, give it feedingstuff once a day in the bowl. Second, have a place to let it fly. Third, give it more than two standing floors in its house. Then, feed it some fruit and vegetables sometimes. Your bird will be healthy and nice to you. Don't sleep with a bird; it's dangerous to it. Let it sleep in its house is nice to your pet bird. Don't scare them; they hate the act and will fly away. Keeping well your pet bird will let your home have more amusement.
